A working assistant
It runs on your real documents and your real accounts, and your staff use it on their own work before the pilot ends.
Pilot
Staff ask it a question in plain words, such as what the warranty terms are or how to book a service call. It answers from your documents and shows which page it used. We run it for six weeks with your people on real questions, then you decide whether to keep it.
What it is
The pilot covers one group of staff, one set of documents you choose, and one kind of question. We build an assistant that answers only from those documents, and every answer carries the document, section and version it came from. When the documents hold no answer, it says so. When two documents disagree, it points at both and leaves the choice to a person.
We test it on questions your own staff have asked, with answers your reviewer has checked in advance. Your people then use it on real work for a week, and we hand you a short report with the results.
It runs on your real documents and your real accounts, and your staff use it on their own work before the pilot ends.
The scope is fixed in week one and each week ends with a written check. Any check can stop the pilot, and the reason goes on record.
Who it suits
It works best where a person already checks the answer, so review costs nothing extra.
If you are unsure which workflow to start with, the Consulting Diagnostic finds it in 2 weeks, for CAD $5,000 plus GST/HST.
What you get
Answers come only from the passages the assistant retrieves from your chosen documents. Each one cites the document, section and version, so a reviewer can check it in seconds.
Staff sign in with the accounts you already use, and the assistant shows each person only the documents they may open. We test this with a restricted document and two different users.
The workload runs in a Canadian region. We do not train or fine-tune any model on your content, and we set how long records are kept to your own retention schedule.
The assistant reads from the folders you name and appears in one tool your staff already use. It does not write back to your systems, and moving or cleaning up your files is outside the pilot. We quote those separately if you want them.
How it runs
You and we review each check together. Passing is not automatic.
| Week | What happens | You hold |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | We choose the users, the documents and the questions, and you sign what a good answer looks like. | A one-page scope with signed acceptance criteria |
| 2 | We connect the documents and sign-in, and your reviewer checks the test questions. | A set of test questions with checked answers |
| 3 | We build the assistant with citations and a clear reply when it finds nothing. | A working assistant |
| 4 | We test it against the questions, try to make it leak a restricted document, and check it in French and English if both apply. | Test results against the agreed thresholds |
| 5 | A small group of your staff uses it on real work and tells us where it falls short. | A log of real use and a short how-to-run sheet |
| 6 | We report the results against week one and you decide: keep it, adjust it or stop. | A written report and a plan for what comes next |
Acceptance
You agree these in writing in week one, before anyone knows the results.
Note
You can keep it with a named owner and a plan, keep it on conditions with a date to retest, or stop with the evidence and reasons on record. The pilot does not run past week six without one of the three.
How it is sold
The pilot is a consulting engagement, and Consulting comes with a set-up-and-test guarantee.
Start with a 30-minute call on the contact page. We look at your documents and the questions your staff ask, then scope the pilot in writing. We quote the price after the call and confirm it in writing before any work starts.
Our guarantee is that what we set up passes a test you signed, or we fix it free. Its exact terms, with the published prices, sit on the Consulting page.
Note
We have no named client case study to show yet. We can walk a reviewer through the documents we produce and how we test, under a non-disclosure agreement.
Next step
Tell us which questions your staff keep asking and where the answers live. We say whether a pilot fits, or what to do first.
